  There are millions of people logging onto the internet every day from around the world searching for the next big thing to make money online, promote their business and product. The question that needs to be asked before you even think about entering the online world of e-commerce and marketing is "What is my niche?". To begin, what does the word niche even mean? It relates to a position or area, that is exactly suitable for the person occupying it.

For the purposes of this article, a niche will relate to a particular topic that you are specially suited or interested in, with the goal of turning your interest into a income generating tool. From this interest you may develop a product, a service or information.

  Affiliate marketing has been a great thing for many companies and has allowed a large number of people to work from home. However, as with any good thing, there are those intent on abusing it and turning it from a way to make a legitimate living into a tool for thievery. It doesnt matter where on the affiliate program ladder they areaffiliate, merchant or buyerscammers and fraud can appear anywhere.

However, as with any other fraudulent activity, if you keep your eyes open and your wits about you, you will see the signs and be able to disengage before too much damage is done.
